The research materials most likely come from a Mexican cattle survey conducted by the Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of Arizona, headed by Raymond E. Seltzer; included in the data sets are statistics, tallies and graphs.

	Abstract:	The bulk of the Commonwealth Mine records document its activities from 1910 until 1930. Many of its earlier and later records were lost or destroyed between the closing of the mine in the 1940s and the salvaging of the records in 1960. Many of the remaining records are fragile and fragmentary; several important series, such as Board of Directors minutes, contain only scarred and scattered remnants of their original contents.

Riordan; the Riordan Mercantile Company (company store of the Arizona Lumber and Timber Company); the Arizona Supply Company; the McKay Cattle Company; the Black Cattle Company; the Greenlaw Lumber Company (The Riordans bought controlling interest in 1897); the Spangler Sheep Company; the Howard Sheep Company; the Central Arizona Railway Company; the Flagstaff Electric Light Company; and the Flagstaff Community Hotel. All records are ca. 1881 to 1950.
